| Milestones Medications |
Many residents coming to Milestones suffer from mood disorders such as depression and/or other related issues requiring medication(s). Others may have pre-existing medical conditions that often require ongoing treatment with a prescribed medication. Residents may continue taking their prescribed medications while in treatment at Milestones with the approval of our medical director.
Our facility maintains it’s own dispensary and is able distribute and monitor your medicine(s) as prescribed. Residents are also assessed by our psychiatrist and a member of our medical team upon admission. In some instances a prescription may be suggested or an existing medication may be adjusted or modified in accord with your needs. You are encouraged to refill any existing prescriptions prior to your arrival, bring them in their original container from your pharmacy, and we will be happy to dispense and store them for you. Refills or prescriptions written at Milestones may be filled or refilled via a local pharmacy near our facility and then stored at our dispensary and distributed as prescribed.
You will be responsible for any co-payments or expenses related to filling or refilling your prescriptions while at Milestones. Under no circumstances will scheduled or controlled medications be permitted without the express consent of a Milestones physician. A review of your existing medications will be completed by the clinical director and reviewed prior to your arrival in order to avoid any confusion. |
