| Many residents coming to Milestones suffer from depression in addition to their eating disorder. Others may have pre-existing medical conditions, sometimes related and sometimes not, to their eating disorder. In both circumstances they come to us with prescribed medications. Residents may continue taking their prescribed medications while in treatment. Our facility contains it’s own pharmacy on-site and is able to fill, refill, and/or dispense your medications. Residents are also assessed upon admission by our Psychiatrist, and in some instances a prescribed medication may be suggested. For those currently taking medication, adjustments in dosage or changes may be prescribed as necessary. You are encouraged to refill existing prescriptions prior to coming to us and bring them in their original bottles. We will repackage and dispense them to you at no charge. Medications that are not permitted without the express consent of our physicians are scheduled or controlled substances (e.g. narcotics and benzodiazapines). |
