Milestones programs are intended for adults seeking treatment for an eating disorder. Our facility and program is fully accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and licensed by the respective agencies in the State of Florida to provide resident and outpatient services. As such, we are able to bill all major insurances and managed care organizations. However, as benefits and policies vary from individual to individual, we suggest calling Milestones to determine your specific coverage at Milestones.
Milestone's primary purpose is to provide a comprehensive program to address the specific needs of individuals suffering with an eating disorder and the accompanying mental health issues often associated with eating disorders / food addiction. Providing a safe, structured, and effective course of treatment, Milestones offers apartment-style residences with 24-hour on-site support in addition to a multi-specialty team of professionals.
Although residents may opt to bring their own vehicles, Milestone's provides transportation to all scheduled activities. Residents also participate at local support groups during the evenings and weekends as part of their treatment plan.
Built into the program schedule are recreational activities, therapeutic passes, and visitation by invited family and significant others. Although visitors are not permitted to enter residential apartments, arrangements can be made for visits off-site. As noted, residents who do bring their vehicles are permitted to use them with staff approval, and, usually when accompanied by another resident. |
